Today Is The Last Day To Register To Vote

Nearly 570,000 Californians have already voted in the November election. That's about 100,000 more than voted at this point in the 2014 election. But roughly 3-million more Californians received mail-in ballots this year... about 12.5-million people total.

Political Data Inc., which tracks voter data, shows the early voting pool leans Republican, white and older, which is similar to past elections.Democrats are hoping for more enthusiasm among their voters to win competitive U.S. House seats.

Today is the last day to register to vote in California, although people can register conditionally through Election Day. Those ballots are treated like provisional ballots. More than 19-million people were registered to vote as of early last month, a record for a midterm election.
