City of Elk Grove Seeks Artists for Civic Construction Projects

The City of Elk Grove has issued a call for artists. They are looking for local, regional, or even national artists and artist teams to apply for civic construction projects. The projects will be on display at the city's civic center and animal shelter, and the deadline to submit is Thursday, November 8th.  

The City has issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) for the following artwork:

  • A sculpture representing “music” for the Civic Center’s Commons ($25,000 budget);
  • An outdoor installation at the entrance of the Animal Shelter ($110,000 budget);
  • Interior artwork to be installed in the Animal Shelter lobby ($42,000 budget); and
  • Sequenced interior wall hangings for the adoption hallway of the Animal Shelter ($36,000 budget).
