Police are still on the hunt for an armed suspect who allegedly entered an occupied home after an overnight standoff in South Sacramento.
Calls came in around 8 p.m. Tuesday night after an armed man entered a home on the 7100 block of Clearbrook Way near Bruceville Road.
Residents were in the house at the time and did not know the man. They were able to escape without incident.
Sacramento police evacuated other homes in the area and eventually searched the home, but did not find the suspect inside. When he left the residence is still unknown.
Police cleared the scene Wednesday morning.
The situation is still under investigation.
