Suspected Arrested in Connection to Shooting in Antelope

An arrest is made after a shooting in the Antelope area left a woman dead early yesterday morning.

The shooting occurred at a gas station after the suspect and a female victim got into an argument. She tried to run away but the alleged suspect chased her and fired several shots. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Later that morning, police in Southern California responded to a crash on the 210 freeway and discovered one of the vehicles was flagged for the Sacramento shooting. 38-year-old Miguel Romo of Sacramento then jumped out of one of the cars and fled on foot. He was caught and arrested a short time later.

Romo was arrested for the murder of the female victim who has not yet been identified. He remains in custody in a Los Angeles area jail where he is being held without bail, due to his charges.

Romo is currently on parole from state prison and is also being held for a parole violation.
