Heavy smoke from the Camp Fire is causing a cancellation of Wednesday's California Highway Patrol Cadet Run.
Cadet's graduating from the academy traditionally make the pre-dawn run from West Sacramento to the State Capitol. CHP wants to avoid exposing cadets and family members from exposure to unhealthy air conditions.
Cadets will still attend the California Peace Officers' Memorial at the Solano Area office to pay tribute to the men and women who have given their lives in the line of duty.
