New Elk Grove Hospital Expected To Boost Regional Economy

California Northstate University on Thursday unveiled plans to build a 250-bed teaching hospital adjacent to the CNU campus in Elk Grove.

It is anticipated that over ten years the hospital will produce over four-billion dollars in economic output over ten years, create more than 24,000 jobs, and generate 113-million dollars in new business taxes.

CNU has submitted construction plans to the City of Elk Grove with the project expected to break ground in 2019.  The hospital is scheduled to open in 2022.
