Triple-A is once again offering free rides to those who are too impaired to drive over the Christmas holiday. The company's Tipsy Tow program offers complementary rides and tows to any driver who is too impaired to operate a vehicle. However, the towing destination has to be within 10 miles, and the service is only available from 6:00 p.m. Christmas Eve to 6:00 a.m. Christmas day.
California drivers will want to be sure they are sober for the holidays. The California Highway Patrol plans to begin its maximum enforcement period for the holidays tonight. Through Christmas night, all available officers will be patrolling, on the lookout especially for impaired drivers. CHP Commissioner Warren Stanley also urges all Californians to always buckle up.
