Sacramento County is joining forces with Yolo and Placer counties on Tuesday for a test run of the Regional Emergency Notification System. The alert will take place at 10:00 a.m., and officials say it is needed to test the system and be confident it is ready to go in the event of future emergencies.
Anyone who is signed-up to receive alerts will receive the notification by way of their land line, cell phone, text, or email. Those who are not signed up are encouraged to register.
