The Sacramento Police Department is showing off its brand new military-style helicopter. Officials say the new helicopter is an investment for the future safety of the community and for law enforcement officers on the ground. The city approved the purchase with the use of grant money and asset forfeiture funds.
The new helicopter will replace two 1970s-era military surplus helicopters that the City has owned for the last 22 years.
