The Sacramento Fire Department and Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District will put on an interactive recruiting event at the Golden 1 Center on Wednesday, January 30th. The event will take place between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm on the DOCO Plaza.
If you are interested in a career in firefighting or want to apply for a non-firefighting job you are encouraged to visit the arena to meet with recruiters from both the SFD and Metro Fire. The recruiters will be able to talk about career planning and answer questions about working in a public safety organization. Applicants will also have the opportunity to experience what it is like to take the firefighter physical ability test by actually performing some of the tests, with coaching from experienced firefighters.
Additionally, as part of the Sacramento Kings First Responder Appreciation Night the Sacramento Area Fire Fighters Local 522 Honor Guard will present the colors during the pregame National Anthem and the agencies will display wildland fire engines and equipment on the DOCO throughout the day and during the gate opening for the game versus the Atlanta Hawks.
