East L.A. CHP Officers Suspended For Alleged Overtime Abuse

Some California Highway Patrol officers from the East Los Angeles office are in trouble over their time cards. An internal investigation has revealed that an unknown number of officers allegedly put in for a lot of overtime when they should not have.

CHP Commissioner Warren Stanley says he's angered and appalled, and the officers have been suspended.

The overtime hours in question come to some 350-thousand dollars.

The alleged padding of overtime is being shared with the L.A. County District Attorney's office.
