Chelsea Clinton Confronted By People Blaming Her For New Zealand Shootings

A group of students in New York blames Chelsea Clinton in part for the shooting masacre at two New Zealand mosques last week. During a New York City memorial service for the victims of the shootings a college student went face-to-face with Clinton, as a friend recorded the confrontation with a cell phone camera. The young woman, who is reportedly is New York University student Leen Dweik, angrily blamed Clinton's recent condemnation of Representative Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitic remarks for the terror attack in Christchurch that has claimed 50 lives.

"This right here is the result of a massacre stoked by people like you and the words you put out," Dweik said as others out of the frame seemed to encourage her. "I want you to know that and I want you to feel that deep inside."

A clearly pregnant Clinton replied, "I’m so sorry that you feel that way." She seemed somewhat stunned. "Certainly, it was never my intention. I do believe words matter. I believe we have to show solidarity."

The video of the exchange was posted on Twitter to mixed reaction.
