California state lawmakers will decide today, (Wednesday, April 3rd), on a bill that allows state workers to bring their baby to work.

The 'Bring Your Baby To Work' Bill, AB-372, allows workers to bring their babies into the office from the time they are six weeks to six months old or until the child is walking.

Those in favor of the bill say it will "improve infant bonding time among new parents, which has been found crucial to both brain development and the long-term health of the child," while encouraging state workers to return to the workplace sooner. Those opposing the bill argue it would be a distraction within the workplace.
