Divers Will Try Again To Recover Submerged Tow Truck, Woman's Body

More than two weeks have passed since Shalvinesh and Roselyn Sharma, the owners of Justin's Towing, went missing after their company truck was involved in a collision and plunged off the Pioneer Bridge down into the Sacramento River.

So far, efforts to locate the truck 30 or more feet below the surface have been unsuccessful due to strong currents and poor visibility. It was thought that bodies of the couple might still be inside the truck. However, on Thursday the California Highway Patrol, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire, and family members confirmed that a body pulled from the river south of Stan's Yolo Marina in the morning is that of Shalvinesh Sharma.

A barge is reported to be headed to the location where the truck went into the water and should be in position by Thursday night. The latest attempt to get the truck out of the river is expected to take place on Friday.

Global Diving and Salvage will handle Friday's complex recovery effort.
