The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office dive team and other personnel on Monday morning continued the search for a drowning victim at Folsom Lake.
On Sunday night just after 6:30 EDSO dispatcher got a call about a possible drowning at the lake. They were told that a 29-year-old man from the Vineyard neighborhood in Sacramento County had been riding personal watercraft with his friend. The two reportedly briefly became separated. The friend later spotted the missing man's watercraft floating nearby but could not find him.
State Parks, Placer County Sheriff’s Office, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, El Dorado Hills Fire, and Cal Fire joined EDSO personnel during the initial search Sunday night, but when it became to dark those efforts came to an end.
