Governor Newsom Signs Bill To Pay Wildfire Victims

Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill today that would pay victims affected by the devastating California wildfires. The bill, now law, creates a fund of $21 billion that would pay victims of California wildfires.

Half of the money for the fund would come from customers, the other portion would come from utility companies. Newsom signed the bill one day after the State Legislature passed it.
