Sac Co's 5th Annual Youth Academy Introduces Kids To The Justice System

Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert is promoting the 5thAnnual Youth Academy and encouraging students in the area to file applications. The program is conducted in partnership with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, Sacramento Police Department, and other regional law enforcement agencies.

Students are supposed to learn about the criminal justice system and take part in discussions with law enforcement officials about the issues which most affect younger people today.

Classes will be held twice a month in the evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at four locations on different days of the week:

SOUTH AREA: Thursdays, September 26, 2019 through April 2, 2020 at the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Community Service Center (7000 65th Street, Sacramento 95823 )

NORTH AREA: Tuesdays, September 17, 2019 through March 10, 2020 at the Trinity Life Center (5225 Hillsdale Blvd., Sacramento 95842)

EAST AREA: Wednesdays, September 18, 2019 through March 11, 2020 at the Rancho Cordova City Hall (2729 Prospect Park Drive, Rancho Cordova 95670)

ELK GROVE/GALT AREA: Mondays, September 23, 2019 through April 6, 2020 at the Elk Grove City Council Chambers (8400 Laguna Palms Way, Elk Grove 95758)
