The Butte County Sheriff's office is looking for a woman accused of elder abuse, embezzlement and grand theft. An arrest warrant has been issued for 29-year-old Brenda Rose Asbury. Sheriff's investigators say Asbury embezzled more than 63,000 dollars from a 75-year-old Camp Fire survivor.
The money was part of an insurance settlement for the 75-year-old's lost home. The Butte County Sheriff's office is asking anyone with information about Asbury's location to contact them.
