PG&E Shuts Off Power To Thousands in Butte, Plumas and Yuba Counties

Pacific Gas and Electric Co shut off power to thousands of customers in parts of Butte, Plumas and Yuba counties, Saturday night at 10pm.

Due to dry and windy conditions, PG&E made the decision, which affects 12,000 customers.

"Based on the latest weather readings, PG&E anticipates the period of peak winds will occur from 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, through 8 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6," PG&E said in a statement. It looks like power is still off as of Sunday morning at 9am. Resource centers have been opened in the counties affected.
