A vote Tuesday by the Sacramento City Council will decide whether or not to restrict parking to three hours in the McKinley Park area.
Parking is free, which has led to several people taking advantage of the situation, leaving their car there all day, as they head to work.
The resolution would regulate parking on areas of Alhambra Boulevard, McKinley Boulevard, G Street, Park Way, 33rd Street and 35th Streets.
If this is approved, violators would be cited with a $47 penalty. There are no plans to charge for parking in the area.
