CA Woman Who Did Time For 2017 Live Streamed Fatal DUI Crash Arrested Again

The Central Valley woman who was convicted for drunk driving during a fatal 2017 Merced County crash she was live streaming is now behind bars once again. 20-year-old Obdulia Sanchez was arrested by Stockton police after allegedly leading them on a car chase Thursday.

Officers say they tried to pull over Sanchez for a traffic violation, when she sped off about 1:30 in the morning in the area of Rosemarie Lane and Piccardo Circle. Officers say the chase was reportedly short, but when the car finally was stopped a man who was inside was able to run away.

There was allegedly a loaded handgun in the car at the Sanchez was arrested without any other resistance.

Sanchez was driving a car near Los Banos in 2017, when she lost control and it went off the road, ejecting and killing her 14-year-old sister, Jacqueline.

Prosecutors during her 2018 trial said Sanchez was live-streaming on Instagram while driving. In the video she can be seen taking her hands off the steering wheel.

Sanchez also recorded herself standing over her sister's body, saying she was sorry.

She was released on parole in September. She was out for less than a month before this arrest.
