It didn't take Michael Bloomberg long to make his mark on 2020 Democratic run for the White House. Just days after officially announcing he had entered the race, has stolen a top staff member from a rival Democrat for to help him with his presidential bid.

Officials with the Bloomberg campaign have confirmed this week that Kelly Mehlenbacher has joined as deputy chief operating officer. There was no immediate comment from the Harris camp about the departure of Mehlenbacher. She bails out not long after a Harris staff shakeup that included layoffs amid a renewed focus on Iowa.

Bloomberg, the billionaire former New York City mayor, entered the race last Sunday and has is already spending millions of dollars on television ads.
