The sexual assault lawsuit against Sacramento Kings coach Luke Walton has been dropped. Former Spectrum SportsNet reporter Kelli Tennant accused Walton of assaulting her twice. Tennant filed the suit last April, and she held a news conference with her lawyers by her side in which she accused the newly hired Kings coach of sexual battery in a Santa Monica hotel room back in 2014, and another attack at a charity event in 2017. The Sacramento Bee says Tennant asked a judge to dismiss the case. The way it was filed means she can't file it again.
Tennant insisted that in 2014 Walton forcibly kissed and groped her while he was an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors. Tennant also alleged that Walton harassed her while he was the coach of the L.A Lakers. It's unclear if an out of court settlement was reached between the two.
