A Fox News personality claims President Trump almost single-handedly undermining trust in the news media. Speaking at the Newseum in Washington during a celebration of the First Amendment Chris Wallace said the President is responsible for "the most sustained assault on press freedom in U.S. history."
Wallace delivered a harsh critique of Trump, and said, "he's done everything he can to undercut the media," to "delegitimize us," with the clear purpose to "raise doubts when we report critically about him."
He recalled a Trump tweet calling the news media the "enemy of the American people," and insisted that it undermines the U.S. Constitution.
Wallace wrapped up his remarks by saying about the media, "We will endure. So will Freedom of the Press."
