New State COVID-19 Order Will Not Entirely Close Sacramento Zoo

Despite Governor Newsom's announcement that zoos and museums in 19 California counties, including Sacramento County, officials with the Sacramento Zoo say the facility will remain open. They will close the gift shop and indoor dining facilities, but people with reserved tickets will still be able to visit the outdoor animal exhibits and buy merchandise and food from outdoor kiosks and stands.

Face coverings are also required to enter the zoo for visitors over the age of two, and you'll be asked to maintain a six-foot distance between your group and others.
