CA Governor Pushed To Justify COVID Health Orders, Launches Mask Campaign

Governor Gavin Newsom provided a statewide news briefing on California’s response to the coronavirus pandemic Thursday. The briefing coming as the state heads into a holiday weekend and the numbers related to the virus seem to be worsening.

Responding to an increase the rate of positive tests, hospitalizations, intensive care unit cases, and deaths, Newsom is calling on people to wear a mask in public, avoid fireworks shows, and refrain from getting together with family and friends for a backyard barbecue over the July 4th holiday weekend.

The Governor also announced the launch of public service campaign meant to convince you to wear a mask to protect yourself and others, especially those who are most at risk.
