A woman who was said to be driving the wrong way on Highway 50, drove down an embankment, and then ran across the freeway, was killed early Thursday morning.
The woman was struck by two vehicles in the westbound direction of Highway 50, near Latrobe Road and East Bidwell Street.
Both drivers who hit the woman were cooperating with authorities.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lanes were closed throughout the morning, but reopened around 7 a.m.
