A fiery crash involving a big rig shut down northbound I-5 in Elk Grove Monday night.
The California Highway Patrol said this happened just south of the Laguna Boulevard off-ramp around 10:30 p.m. Monday night.
A big rig that was carrying eight vehicles drifted right and hit a guardrail, then hit the center median. The big rig then flipped and caught fire.
The CHP said the driver was able to get out of the big rig with no injuries.
