One person is dead after a shooting on Interstate 5 in Sacramento early Friday morning.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, which happened around 5 a.m. going southbound near the J Street exit.
Lanes are closed and traffic is heavy in the southbound direction of I-5 between Richard Boulevard and I Street, and there is no estimated time for reopening.
