Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is calling for new leadership in the Democratic Party.
The New York Democrat was asked during an interview that aired Wednesday if it was time for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to be replaced. She replied, "I think so." Ocasio-Cortez was also critical of the party, and said the next generation of leadership has not been groomed.
Nancy Pelosi is 80 years old and recently indicated that her next two-year term as Speaker will be her last, if she wins on January 3rd. Chuck Schumer is 70 years old and was re-elected as Minority Leader last month.
