Placer County health care workers are set to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine this week.
The county's interim health officer Dr. Rob Oldham announced that four-thousand health care workers will be vaccinated this week and another three-thousand doses are on the way for long-term care facility residents. The arrival of the vaccines comes as Placer County ran out of available adult ICU beds earlier this week.
