With valley showers pushing out over the area for the morning, lingering showers continue in the mountains. Most mountain showers are reported to taper off towards the afternoon, with a few lingering over the Sierra near 1-80 south. North winds will be coming in later today and on into the night, but are not expected to be strong.
Dense fog will be coming into the San Joaquin Valley east of 1-5 later this week with patchy occurrences over the Southern Sacramento Valley. With less wind towards the weekend, fog is looking to become more widespread, with drier weather continuing into the weekend and early next week.
