Roy Charles Waller, the so-called NorCal Rapist, will spend the rest of his life in prison. In November, Waller was convicted by a jury of 46 counts involving kidnapping, forcible rape and other related charges. Today in Sacramento, Waller was sentenced to 897 years to life in prison, the maximum allowed by law. The case involved the assault of nine women in six counties between 1991 and 2006. Waller was found because of a DNA profile developed through evidence left behind at a crime scene. That profile led to family members and allowed investigators to zero in on Waller.
