The Sacramento Municipal Utility District is extending the date for power shutoffs for customers who can't pay their bill until April 30, 2021. Spokesperson Lindsay Van Laningham says the suspension was first enacted in March.
She says customers will still owe their bill, but they won't have their power shut off for non-payment until next year. She says customers who can pay should continue doing so.
