A man who shot his wife at an apartment in Sacramento County is in custody.
Sheriff's deputies received a call yesterday morning reporting a woman had been injured at the Meridian Terrace apartments on Callie Lane. When deputies arrived, they found a woman with a gunshot wound. The victim's husband, Shakel Samier Beasley, was arrested last night and booked into the Sacramento County Jail for murder.
The woman's four children were asleep at the apartment when the shooting happened. They are now with Child Protective Services.
