Californians Urged To Change Holiday Plans To Avoid Another Deadly Surge

Californians are being urged not to gather to celebrate the winter holidays in order to avoid another deadly surge of COVID-19 cases.

The Golden State has recorded a half-million coronavirus cases in the last two weeks. State health officials warn that a surge could happen after the holiday season, which would then put added stress to already overwhelmed hospitals across California. Authorities are advising people to stay home, wear face coverings and avoid gathering with anyone outside their own households.
