(Sacramento, CA) -- All 13 counties within the state-declared Greater Sacramento Region will remain under the a stay-at-home order. Health officials officially extended the order on Saturday after available intensive care unit capacity dropped to 6.9-percent. The California Department of Public Health announced that the region will stay under the stay-at-home order because "the area's four-week projected ICU capacity does not meet the criteria to exit the order."
The Greater Sacramento region's initial three-week stay-at-home order first took effect on December 11.
