CA Advisory Board Recommends Review Of Police Officers' Social Media

California police agencies are being recommended to routinely check officers for evidence of racial bias.

The Racial and Identity Profiling Advisory Board is urging agencies to review employees' social media posts and officers' department issued cell phones and computers to make sure they're not showing racist or offensive content and other problematic behavior. The report comes from community and law enforcement representatives who analyzed nearly four million vehicle and pedestrian stops by California's 15 largest law enforcement agencies last year.
