Governor Gavin Newsom says he is proposing $300 million from the state budget to be used to support California's vaccine distribution, which is currently lagging behind other states. Newsom says the money can be used to fund transportation and storage, as well as more public messaging campaigns.
Roughly 1.3 million vaccine doses have already been distributed, and Newsom says about 454,000 doses are on the way.
