Jury Duty Trials Delayed By COVID Pandemic In Parts Of California

Coronavirus concerns have delayed jury trials in some parts of California. Sacramento and El Dorado superior courts are pushing back the trials until at least mid-January, but residents in both counties received summons for jury duty in the mail this week. Court officials confirm that jury proceedings are still suspended by court order due to the pandemic.

Sacramento Superior Court has suspended jury trials and jury service until January 18.

El Dorado County officials have extended a December 2 delay order set to expire on Tuesday to January 31 and ordered civil trials set December 3 to January 31 to be vacated and reset.
