COVID-19 vaccinations are now being given to Sacramento area firefighters and paramedics. The expansion of the Phase 1A category is part of the program to vaccinate three million at-risk workers and residents in the state.
Because the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines require sub-zero degree storage, health officials say expanding its distribution means doses aren't wasted.
