Plastic pollution from sleds is becoming a huge problem in Lake Tahoe.
Environmental groups are now asking sledders to be aware of the plastic sleds and saucers they might leave behind when they break or when they go home. Sled corrals have now been placed throughout the forest land in the Tahoe Basin so visitors can place broken or unwanted sleds in them, preventing the plastic from entering the lake and in the environment.
