More than 50 North Bay restaurants, wineries and hotels are filing suit against Governor Gavin Newsom over coronavirus restrictions they say threaten the sustainability of their businesses.
Carl Deme of the "Wine Country Coalition for Safe Reopening" calls it a matter of financial survival. Deme claims the spread of coronavirus is not a result of outdoor dining. Governor Newsom's staff didn't immediately return requests for comment. They've previously been quoted as saying the administration is "confident the court will uphold the order, as have numerous courts that have recently considered similar challenges."
