The El Dorado County High School District is postponing its plan for full in-person instruction.
Superintendent Ron Carruth announced the news yesterday, saying the biggest challenge the district faces is the required spacing between student desks. In a letter, Carruth said there is no possible way to configure desks in their classroom and keep student chairs four feet apart with about 30 students per classroom. In November, the district announced its plans to move to full in-person instruction, but those plans are now on hold after the state's department of public health issued new guidelines for schools.
