California Taking More Control Of COVID Vaccine Delivery

California is putting in work to revamp its COVID-19 vaccine delivery system.

Governor Gavin Newsom named Yolanda Richardson as secretary of the government operations agency that will spearhead operations and delivery. Richardson will work with private third party administrators to decide where the state's supply of vaccines should go. The change also means streamlining appointment sign-up, notification and eligibility for the Golden State's 40 million residents.
