Capitol Riot Probe Grows To 400 Suspects, Sedition Charges Expected Soon

Federal authorities have now identified more than 400 suspects in the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th.

The chief federal prosecutor heading up the investigation says his staff is working on sedition cases and they expect the probes to "bear fruit very soon." Guilty verdicts in sedition cases carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. Sedition is the most serious charge in the armed attack to stop Congress from counting President Biden's state-certified electoral victory.
