The winter storms are leaving thousands of Sacramento residents in the dark.
SMUD reported last night it was experiencing scattered outages and downed power lines. More than 160 outages across the Sacramento area were reported, affecting nearly 27,000 customers. Crews are working as quickly and as safely as possible to restore power.
