Yolo County is prioritizing its older residents to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
The county will start vaccinating residents 75 and older next week. Due to the limited doses, county officials have decided to put people 75 and older at the top of the list since they are at greatest risk for serious complications or death from the virus. County health officials say that a vaccine given to a senior 75 or older is "three times more likely to save a life than a vaccine given to someone between the ages of 65 to 74."
