The city of Sacramento is offering up more options for where the homeless can find shelter during the winter storms.
For the first time ever, the city opened an overnight safe parking zone at the City Hall Garage last night for those living out of their cars. The Library Galleria is also expected to be open through at least Saturday. City leaders say they're working as quickly as possible to evaluate and open new sites. This comes after the city council issued an emergency declaration Wednesday after two homeless people died during the storm Tuesday night.
