Hundreds of Sacramento-area residents are still living in the dark as utility companies hurry to restore power amid Northern California's winter storm.
SMUD says it's the biggest storm they've seen since 2017. Since Tuesday, the utility has restored power to more than 200,000 homes. But those still without electricity are getting frustrated. For some, it was the third night in a row without power. As of last night, there were still 317 active outages in SMUD's territory. The company says it's prioritizing the dangerous outages first, addressing the largest areas of concern and will continue to work down the line.
